Who We Are

Presser Review is a digital open-access bimonthly journal publishing critical, accessible analysis on media and world affairs. We center knowledge, voices, and frameworks beyond dominant Western paradigms—bridging scholarly rigor with public accessibility.

Based in Pakistan, read worldwide.

What We Publish

We welcome submissions across three tracks:

All English submissions use **Chicago NB style with numbered endnotes **(no footnotes). Urdu submissions are accepted with Chicago author-date citations and mandatory English titles/abstracts.

Our Review Process

Presser Review uses a single-blind peer review model:

  • Flagship Articles: Reviewed by ≥2 independent experts; initial decision within 2 weeks
  • Critical Reflections: Editorial review + external expert consultation; decision within 1 week
  • Voices from the Margins: Editorial review only; decision within 1 week

We adhere to COPE Core Practices and prioritize constructive, developmental feedback.

Presser Review aims to become a trusted platform for critical global affairs analysis indexed in **Web of Science **(ESCI). We believe that centering diverse knowledge traditions strengthens—not weakens—scholarly understanding of media, security, climate, and power in the 21st century.
